| Our Mission: The St. Joseph Community Health Foundation, sponsored by the Poor Handmaids of Jesus Christ, exists to steward resources that strengthen, improve, and sustain long-term community health in Allen County, Indiana. Directory
Due to strong community demand, the Foundation has released the third edition of the Community Health Resource Directory. The 2007 edition details over 70 local resources which help Allen County residents access quality, low-cost health, medical and dental care.
According to Foundation Executive Director Meg Distler, "This is an especially important service as our recent health survey of those with limited household incomes revealed that 35% lack a regular source for their medical care as compare to 22% nationally." The Foundation is providing free resource directories to anyone in the community to make it easier to find high quality, low-cost medical, dental and mental health care providers. The 2007 English version is now available. There are also a few copies remain of the 2006 Spanish version. The Directory features 90 agencies and resources offering quality low-cost health services and/or access to health care services. To request a free copy
